Apartment 105 Believed in Muse Before Anyone Else

I'm honored to be part of Apartment 105's Book Trailer Grand Opening on Saturday, July 25, from 12 PM to 4 PM.

This event is especially close to my heart because Apartment 105 was the very first bookstore, and the first mobile bookstore, to carry Muse: Brown Skin – A Dangerous Kind of Love. When you're an independent author, finding someone willing to take a chance on your work isn't always easy. Jayla saw something in my story and gave Muse a home on her shelves.

That kind of support is something I'll never forget.

People often ask me why I make it a priority to show up for Apartment 105, and the answer is simple. You never forget the people who believed in you before everyone else did. Jayla helped make one of my dreams come true, and I'll continue supporting her and the incredible business she's built.

The grand opening is more than a celebration of a beautiful new book trailer. It's a celebration of community, literacy, and the power of independent bookstores creating opportunities for local authors. There will be amazing local authors, great books, and something for readers of all ages.
